ISO 45001 is the replacement standard for occupational health & safety management systems and is set to replace the current standards BS OHAS 18001.
It has reached the draft stage and is on track for the publication date of October 2016. The new standards are similar to the current BS OHAS 18001 but with a greater emphasis on leadership, worker involvement, context and documented information. There will also be more focus on continued improvement, hierarchy of control, risk and opportunities, compliance status, supply chain and KPI’s.
