The HSE are committed to reducing work-related ill health and occupational disease over the next few years, with the emphasis on confronting the challenge posed by occupational cancers and respiratory disease, and looking particularly at whether there are lots of workers potentially exposed or evidence of a high incidence of these diseases.
Their ambition is to reduce the predictive future number of people dying from work related diseases through the use of prevention and control measures in the workplace and to encourage others to achieve the same ambition.
