WINNER OF THE FUNNIEST SAFETY SIGNAGE COMPETITION ANNOUNCED

Congratulations to Roy Mills of Cotgrave, who is the lucky winner of the Funniest Safety Signage Competition.

At his work place, Roy was tasked to put signs on the new fire exit doors that had been installed. The sign read, “Emergency, Push handle down” and having seen the competition advertised on face book, he thought it would be amusing to stick one that was left over, onto the toilet cistern in the workshops. Roy says, “I must admit we must have been close to an emergency at times if the smell that comes out of there is anything to go by.”

Giggling to himself, Roy took a photograph of the sign on the toilet and entered it into the funniest safety signage competition. Roy says, “I quickly glanced at face book one lunch time and you can imagine my surprise to see it circulating as the latest entry on face book,” he continues, “and I was even more surprised to hear a few weeks later that I had actually won the competition.”

Roy was the lucky winner of £100 which he is going to put towards a new fence that’s being fitted in his back garden. The prize also included £100 donation to a charity of his choice and he has nominated Cotgrave Methodist Church as the lucky recipients.

Safety Signs Express have the greatest pleasure in releasing the prize money to Roy and Cotgrave Methodist Church. We have had great fun running this competition and we thank all the people who took the time to enter it.
